City Of Glass by Cassandra Clare

The Third Book In The Mortal Instruments Series

With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadow-hunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he's willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her new found powers to help save the Glass City -- whatever the cost?



(My Review): This book has definitely ramped It up that previous books in The Mortal Instruments series. Not saying that the other books weren't good but after you read City Of Ashes It pretty much gets better from there. The book starts about a week after City Of Ashes ends. Clary has to travel all the way to Alicante in Idris to find a woman named Madeleine, Clary's mother's friend, who might be the only person that can bring Clary's mom back to life.
Meanwhile Jace is doing everything in his power to keep Clary out of Alicante because he thinks It's too dangerous for her. And on top of this, Valentine's back and he's more relentless than ever in his quest to kill every single Shadowhunter- and he just may destroy everything if the Shadowhunters and Downworlders don't come together and fight against him.

So overall this book was way more intenese by far than City Of Ashes and City Of Bones. The characters in the book have remained the same as they've always have the series- and we even get to understand more about how they are and why they're a certain way. Sebastian was a very interesting character in all of this. He's a new face in the book so everyone's anxious to see how this person is. I won't give out too many spoilers but I'll say that he was the focal point of a lot the stuff that happened in that book.
The end of the book was very fitting for the book. After everything that happened and so much destruction and death is was nice to see a light in all of that. But overall, you must go read the book to understand everything that had happened. It is an intense, emotional, action-packed, book and I would recommend It to anyone likes intense battles, romance, and one heck of a roller-coaster type of book.

(My Review): As always, Richelle Mead has never ceased to amaze me with her books, even with the new spin-off series. It is beyond sad that Vampire Academy had to end, but at least this next series is still set in the Vampire Academy world. Sydney Sage, an Alchemist who has been on the brinks of being put in re-education center because she had helped Rose, has been ordered to guard Jill Dragomir, who hopes of escaping some brutal and aggresive protesters against Queen Lissa Dragomir. With Jill's future on the line, she accepts the task and finds out that everything is not what it seems and everything she's believed up to now are about to be put in the test.

Bloodlines features old faces as well as new ones. Sydney in a lot of ways are simliar but different to Rose. She's persistent, calm even when people try knocking her down, never backing down to anyone and the relationship between Adrian and Sydney (who he calls Sage) is pretty unquie.
But its obvious, whether you're a newcomer to Bloodlines or have stayed since the begining of Vampire Academy, Bloodlines has sure made It's mark.

The Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa

(My Review): Let me just say this: Good sequels are vital to the series being that great, and this one definitely hit the mark. Meghan has come along way from the girl from Louisiana and your average teen girl, a very long way she has come. Already Ash has summoned her to come back the fey world where things have only begun to ramp up once more. (I will try hardest not to give away spoilers on this one) Meghan enters Tir Nag Nog, the Winter Court. Once they enter the Winter Court, just like the icy appearance of Tir Nag Nog, Ash's demeanor quickly changes as well. If you read Winter's Passage, the reasons behind why he did It will make more sense.

She cannot go home because of her choice to go on her own free will. Another reason to be careful when making deals with fey can result in not so good endings.
Nevertheless, The Iron Daughter was a beautifully woven together and had much more action and romance in the second book than in the first. The history between Puck and Ash is very intriguing history and keeps getting intense with every book. The book had ended on a sort of bittersweet, but nice ending. Overall, the book was flat out intensely great and that's why I just had to get The Iron Queen the next day.

Mockingjay By Suzanne Collins

My Review: I literally had this book in my when I finished Catching Fire. The book leaves off where Catching Fire ended. (Spoiler Alert For Anyone Who Hasn't Read Catching Fire Yet) District 12 is now in crumbles and Katniss is left in a very traumatic state of mind. That's the biggest cliftthanger I've read up to now. There's plenty of twist and turns in Mockingjay and as soon as you think you know what's happening, It drops another bomb on you. The book was very bittersweet at the end but It was inspiring too at the end. This book is the best out of the trilogy because It's fast-paced, heartbreakly amazing, and It makes you want to throw the book across the room and then pick It back up and read It again. It was not a very predicting outcome as many people expected It to be. She's a very changed person from the first two books. She seems more calm-more warmer is a better word, and emotional.

This book was told from a first-person point of view but at the same time Katniss was far away as if she was just writing in her diary or something private. The ending as I've said about two-thousand and one times now, wasn't what we all wanted to happen but It was what had to happen to make Katniss how she was. All in all, It shows you at the end that It may take long time but you can pick up the pieces and start over again, no matter how long that time is.

The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting

(My Review): I've been looking at this book for a while and finally decided to give It a try. The book is told from a third person point of view. Violet Ambrose has been sensing weird things ever since she was eight years old when she found a dead girl in a field of their back yard. But lately she's been getting these feelings more and more because of a killer that's been killing of girls in near by town and has been coming closer to her town ever since. The books is more of a romance than a action book, but the action that's in the book is fairly good however. The way the third person told Viloet's journey and also told the killer's doing was very impressive. I haven't seen many stories that switch back and forth like that so I was a little bit shocked-in a good way. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes mystrey, romance, action, a little humor.

(My Review): At first when I picked up the book, I was a little hesitant on getting It, but It turns out It was a great book after all. In the book Meghan Chase is about to turn sixteen, which is something she's looking forward to. On her sixteenth birthday she finds out that her brother was kidnapped by faeries so she must travel to a land that she thought only exists in her wildest dreams.
It's good to see that your normal everyday girl doesn't completely change during the course of this book. She still knows her roots. The plot of this story was amazing, and the way It was told was excellently written. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes mythical creatures, young adult books, or wants to just read a good paranormal love story. Be sure to pick up the book, you won't be disappointed.

A Long Recovery

Hello everyone. I know that I haven't been making a lot of book reviews in a whlie...but, I have a fair enough reason. I've been sick for the past month and haven't been reading too many books or getting online, therefore, that's the reason why I haven't been making so many reviews. (My Review): The second book in the Fallen series, and also is the best one yet. I read this book the day It came out which was September 28th of 2010. The setting was different then the one in the first book. They're on a small island in California. Daniel has to leave Luce to try and protect her. Along the way she meets Shelby Sterris and Miles Fisher. At first when Lucinda meets Shelby, she's reluctant to take to Luce right away, but eventually halfway into the book, Shelby is sorry for treating Luce the way she did. Miles had met Luce shortly after she met Shelby. She had sent a lot of time with him when she just wanted a friend. It seemed like Daniel was over-protecting her in the book, but he has he reasons why. Still It drove Luce mad and caused a strain in their relationship.

At the ending most of the people from Fallen and from Torment and were together and Miles had nearly saved the day. It was definitely a cliffhanger.

(My Review): I read this book last year a few months before Last Sacrfice came out (Yes, I know, sue me). Anyway, the Vampire Academy series never fails to deliver. A very strong-minded female character lead, which is always good. Rose and Lissa come back to the Academy after they've been captured. In the begining Rose is reckless, and a little rough around the edges, but throughout the book she is a little less reckless (I said a little less). I would reccommed this book to anyone who likes action/romance books.

(My Review): So I finished reading this book two days ago after a two month gap I got It, I finally finished It. At first when I got the book I was a little worrying about It but as I got deeper and deeper into the book It started to make more and more sense. Katniss (I call her Katnip) has to go to the Annual Hunger Games and fight against 23 other contenders. There's only one rule in The Hunger Games: Stay Alive. Which isn't much of a problem for Katniss because she's use to doing It. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes action/romance. It's more of a action book, but It does have a little romance in It. It has a strong-female main character all the way. So be sure to pick up the book. I haven't heard much about the author Suzanne Collins but she's sure to make my top ten now (she's awesome).

Fallen by Lauren Kate

My Review: So I read this book a long while ago, but It seems like I've just read It yesterday. Written by one of my favorite authors, Lauren Kate, It brings action, romance, and a little bit of humor at the same time. It's a great mix. Well basically, Luce has to go to this bording school and along the way she meets Daniel Grigori (someone had to tell me at a signing that I pronouced his name wrong, haha) and she believes that she's seen him before but Daniel wants nothing more but to get away from her. I would recommed this book for anyone who likes young adult romance/action in It. One of the best books I've read in a long whlile.
